All participants are required to register.

Registration Information / Instructions for Authors

For each accepted paper to be included in the Conference Programme, at least one author must be fully registered by 30 January 2009 (deadline for final paper deliverance). The conference fee for authors includes conference registration, conference proceedings (including forthcoming conference publications), coffee-breaks, lunches, official dinner, social programme and also special discounts at recommended hotels. Accomodation is not included. Accompanying persons and PhD students not presenting papers will benefit from a reduced conference fee (see bellow) including conference registration, coffee-breaks, lunches, social programme and also the same discounts at recommended hotels.  Please note that only fully registered participants with abstracts accepted will be included in the Conference Programme.

  • Participants with abstracts accepted registering before December 15th, 2008: €300
  • Participants with abstracts accepted registering after December 15th, 2008:  €400
  • Students, accompanying persons and other participants not presenting papers: €100
  • Members of the Portuguese Association for Tourism Research and Development / Associação Portuguesa para a Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Turismo (APIDT) benefit from a 50 per cent discount on all conference fees
  • Professors, students and qualified staff from Universidade Lusíada are invited to attend the Conference (zero fee, not including meals or coffee breaks but requiring previous on-line registration)
  • IMPORTANT: - When settling the payment please do not forget to e-mail us a copy of the execution of the bank transfer together with your name or paper code. Please note also that the conference fee must be received in full, meaning that all bank charges are to be settled by the participants on their own responsibility. Furthermore, it should also be noted that all fee payments must be settled well in advance of the event - until the 23rd of March of 2009 at most. Payments on site during the event will not be accepted.

ATTENTION

If you pay by bank transfer please do not forget to send us a copy of the execution of the transfer together with a copy of your registration form. Please note that, due to organizing reasons (mainly related with the number of participants), we can only confirm your full registration and participation at the conference (namely on what concerns inclusion in the conference proceedings) after receiving each individual copy of the execution of the international bank transfer.
